Next Step of Faith

Take your next step of faith.

Baptism is how you go public with your decision to follow Jesus. If you're ready, we'd love to celebrate with you.

What baptism is, and why it matters.

I Want to Be Baptized

Baptism is a public declaration that you’ve decided to follow Jesus. It doesn’t save you — it celebrates the decision you already made. At Victory we baptize by full immersion in water, the way it’s pictured in the Bible, as an outward sign of the new life Jesus gives. It’s one of the clearest and most joyful steps you’ll ever take.

Questions

The things people ask us most.

Do I need to be baptized to be saved?
No. You're saved by trusting in Jesus. Baptism is the next step, based on Scripture, that publicly celebrates that decision.
What is baptism?
Baptism is a public declaration that a person has decided to follow Jesus. At Victory Baptist it is done by full immersion in water as an outward picture of new life in Christ.
How do I get baptized at Victory Baptist Church?
Fill out the short "I want to be baptized" form at victorybc.com/baptism and a member of the team (the Assimilation Director) will follow up with the next baptism date and what to expect. Baptism is by full immersion, at the beginning of the 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services, in North Augusta, SC.
What should I wear to be baptized?
Come in comfortable clothes you don't mind getting wet. Victory Baptist provides a shirt, a towel, and a place to change.
When is a child old enough to be baptized at Victory Baptist?
When the child has personally decided to follow Jesus and can explain what that means in their own words. Our Children’s Director, Mrs. Cheryl, will guide and answer your questions.
I was baptized as a baby — should I be baptized again?
Many people choose to be baptized again as a personal decision of their own faith. Victory Baptist welcomes a conversation about what it means for you.
Do I have to share my testimony in front of everyone to be baptized?
No. Your baptism will be a special time in your life, but there's no expectation to share your story in public.
When is the next baptism at Victory Baptist Church?
The next Baptism Sunday is September 27, 2026, at both services.
