Two lives given to this church and this community.
Victory Baptist Church began in January 1975 through the vision and faith of Pastor Larry “Preacher” Brown and his wife, Mrs. Diane Brown. What started with nine people meeting in their North Augusta home grew from the living room to the garage, to rented facilities, and eventually to Victory’s permanent home on West Martintown Road.
For more than four decades, Preacher Brown and Mrs. Diane faithfully served the Lord and the people of Victory. Under their leadership, the church established a Christian school, Bible college, bus ministry, missions program, military outreach, and many other ministries dedicated to sharing the Gospel and strengthening families.
In 2019, God opened a new chapter when Pastor CT Townsend became Victory’s pastor. With Preacher Brown’s blessing and a strong biblical foundation already in place, Pastor CT and Mrs. Becky stepped into this new season of ministry. Today, Victory continues reaching the lost, strengthening families, and carrying the Gospel to the next generation.
While seasons and methods may change, our mission remains the same. We honor those who came before us, thank God for what He is doing today, and look forward to what is still ahead. The story of Victory is still being written—and by God’s grace, the best is yet to come!
